The Tamanend Park Herb Gardening Club has been providing horticultural scholarships since 1985. The scholarships come from our Annual Herb Sale held in May. Due to COVID-19, 2021 was the second year which we did not hold the flower sale, but that isn’t stopping us from awarding our annual scholarships. President Ed MacFarland presented a $1,000 scholarship to each of this year’s recipients, which happened to be the same recipients as last year.
Dylan Schumaker was able to attend our October meeting, via web conference. He is a Senior, majoring in horticulture at Delaware Valley University. His interests are in medicinal uses of marijuana, particularly with the benefits of CBD.
Nicholas Bogdan was not able to attend our November meeting. He is a Junior at Delaware Valley University.
